Additional notes:

Dark Entries was originally released on the fledgling Axis Records name under parent label Beggars Banquet. It was only one of four singles released before it was discovered that an Axis Records company already existed. Shortly thereafter, Axis Records became 4AD and eventually grew to be the most recognizable namesake of the Beggars Banquet family, becoming the parent label in the early 2000s.

The artwork featured on the sleeve is part of a painting by Paul Delvaux called “Venus Sleeping.” The back of the sleeve features the lyrics to Dark Entries, however, these are not entirely the words Peter ends up singing on the recording. This version has a thin paper sleeve and features the front sleeve artwork of the other versions on both sides. The spacing of Bauhaus and Dark Entries on the front is also different from the UK versions of the single.

There is a paper and a card sleeve for this release (the paper sleeve appears to be the more common).
